Damascus steel pairing knife with Himalayan Jade Handles

Over the years I've seen a number of knives with beautiful handles, and decided to try my hand at making jade handles for a knife. I found a company that sold premade Damascus steel knife blanks, and set out to shape two pieces of jade to match the curves of the handle. In the process, I realized how tough it is to make things to an exact dimension, and while both sides have a little "personality", they make a snug and strong handle for the knife.
 
The jade for this knife was sourced from the Himalaya, and is outstandingly bright and translucent. It will make a dramatic addition to your kitchen, and being jade, will have a soft and strong feeling in your hand.
